Brad Pitt and Angelna Jolie take Maddox and Shiloh shopping for baby clothes at up market store Bonpoint in the centre of Cannes. The couple spent an hour browsing for girls clothes and purchased a number of items before leaving through the huge crowd that had gathered outside.

Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has sold her mother Marcheline Bertrand’s house, a year after Bertrand died of ovarian cancer.

Bertrand’s house was sold for $330,000 last month, just before Jolie left for France for a vacation, reports say.

Friends said Jolie didn’t want to let go of the house because it reminded her of her mother, who died in January 2007 at the age of 56.

A source said, They were incredibly close. Marcheline was an actress as well and responsible for getting Angelina involved in films. She had been urged to sell the place by family and friends, but wanted to hold on to one of the last things she could touch or feel of her mother’s spirit. Finally, after more than a year, she tearfully let it go.

Angelina Jolie is reportedly set to give birth to her twins in as little as two weeks, and not in August as Dustin Hoffman suggested yesterday.

The Kung Fu Panda co-stars, who are currently in Cannes, have been using Jolie’s pregnancy to gain publicity for their upcoming movie.

Jack Black ‘accidentally’ let Angelina’s secret out of the bag yesterday, and Hoffman later confirmed her due date as August 19.

However, according to various internet reports, Jolie revealed she is preparing to give birth in a matter of weeks during a chat with a French TV network. Read more…

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s twin girls likely will be fraternal, not identical.

Jolie mentioned this to me on Thursday night at the Paramount Pictures/DreamWorks party for “Kung Fu Panda,” in which she co-voices animated characters with Dustin Hoffman and Jack Black.

The stunning actress said “there was a line” on the sonogram that indicates her daughters are not going to be perfect copies of each other.

Jolie and Pitt are here in Cannes for many reasons, starting with her two movies in competition: “Panda,” and Clint Eastwood’s “The Changeling” (the latter debuts on Tuesday night). Read more…

Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman and Jack “Po the Panda” Black brought Hollywood to Cannes with feel-good movie for kids “Kung Fu Panda”, that premiered at the film festival Thursday.

Jolie, heavily pregnant with twins, stepped up the celebrated Cannes red carpet flanked by partner Brad Pitt — and a giant fake panda — in what she said were lower-than-usual heels with special Nike soles for the gala screening of the Panda movie.

The Brangelina appearance at the 12-day filmfest briefly swept Cannes’ more high-brow fare off centre-stage, this year showcasing a trend for highly-relevant political movies.

The latest offering by the fabled Dreamworks Animation team sees a clumsy flabby overweight panda voiced by Black and obsessed by martial arts catapulted from his job in a noodle restaurant to a role as a kung fu superhero. Read more…
