Angelina Jolie has just scored herself yet another high-paying gig. She’s just been named the new face of Armani’s new fragrance line.

Angie will be fronting the new campaign for the scent, which is due to come out in stores later this year.

Yes, we know how she ended up at the end of Wanted (no spoilers here, check it out for yourself) but reports are coming in that wunderkind Russian director Timur Bekmabetov is planning to bring Angelina Jolie back for Wanted 2.

Move over Oprah, it’s Angelina Jolie’s turn. Despite banking an eye-popping $275 million last year, the queen of all media takes a backseat to actress/humanitarian Jolie on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list of the world’s most powerful celebrities.

Jolie rules a top five that also includes Madonna (#3), Beyoncé (#4) and the only male in the bunch, golfer Tiger Woods (#5). According to the magazine, Jolie notched the top spot after a year that saw her release hit films “Kung Fu Panda” and “Wanted” (the article fails to mention her Oscar-nominated role in “Changeling”), earn $27 million at the box office, cause quite a stir with the birth of her twins with Brad Pitt (who is #9 on the list), continue her many philanthropic efforts and manage the non-stop tabloid coverage of her relationship with Pitt. Friday is a defining moment in the history of justice. The members of the United Nations Security Council will be presented with the results of the International Criminal Court’s Darfur investigation — an investigation that they requested. Their response will determine whether there is going to be an international standard of justice that holds perpetrators accountable for the worst crimes in the world.

The evidence the prosecutor has presented is clear and compelling. Millions of people have been displaced; hundreds of thousands have been killed; and at the center of it all stands Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir, who has been indicted on seven counts of war crimes and five counts of crimes against humanity. Bashir’s response to the indictments was an insult to the international community and the hundreds of thousands who have died in Darfur. He kicked out of his country 16 international aid groups who were desperately trying to save his citizens. He even appointed one of the suspects, Ahmed Haroun, to a committee supposedly investigating human-rights abuses in Darfur. Angelina Jolie was taken to the hospital today after getting hurt on the set of her new movie.

Angelina was shooting “Salt” on Long Island, when she bumped her head, getting some sort of nick in between her eyes. She bled a bit and was taken to the hospital.

Her manager tells us she was doing a stunt when the incident occurred. He says she is completely fine.

We just got a statement from the film’s production company:

“This morning while filming an action sequence… Angelina Jolie sustained a minor injury. As a precautionary measure, Ms. Jolie will be taken to the hospital and examined. Production on the film has resumed.”

Lost star Evangeline Lilly doesn’t want mega-stardom, but if she had to become a Hollywood A-lister, she’d want to do it like – who else? – Angelina Jolie, she says.

“No one knows that woman; she’s a complete ice queen, which is perfect,” the intensely private Lilly tells Women’s Health in the June issue. “Why should she be any more? She doesn’t owe us anything.”

Lilly, who says she’s frequently berated by a colleague on ABC’s island drama for forgoing chances at becoming Hollywood’s next big thing, says if she had to have Jolie’s life, she’d choose only one half of it: the charity work. Read more…

After the Cannes Film Festival premiere of Inglourious Basterds, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were ready to celebrate.

The couple arrived at Baoli — a club on the beach by the Croisette in Cannes, France — at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, shortly after director Quentin Tarantino and costars, Mike Myers, B.J. Novak and Diane Kruger, who arrived with boyfriend, Joshua Jackson.

Pitt and Jolie were flanked by eight bodyguards — who, at times, linked arms to form a chain around them — as they held court in the VIP section.
